Demonica Review: Ecstasy Unveiled By Larissa Ione

Ecstasy Unveiled (Demonica, #4)Ecstasy Unveiled by Larissa Ione

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series. This was a great addition to it. I loved the happily ever after and that a plot from the other books was tied up as well. I didnt like Lore until this book, when we got into his head. Some of my favorite quotes were in this book as well. Especially the "fuck trophy" and smurffette references. There was also some suspence in this book for other characters i had hoped were done with the hardships, but it was necessary. Im looking forward to the Sin/Con story in the next book.

Review: My Life As A White Trash Zombie

My Life as A White Trash Zombie (White Trash Zombie, #1)My Life as A White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good, light read. I read it during an international flight. It was just what I needed to keep my mind off the cramped seats and long hours. However, I had a hard time getting into it at first. My attention wasn't really caught until the last 70 pages, then I couldn't put it down! I just had to see who her "zombie daddy" was and who was the serial killer. The answer shocked me, even tho I should've seen that coming. lol. It is a perfect book when you want to read something light, like those days on the beach, or during a LONG flight where there will be interruptions.

Dark Swan Comic #2

My copy of the second Dark Swan arrived yesterday!
I love the artwork in these comics. It is such a treat to see my favorite characters depicted this way. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next two issues. However, I'm moving to Japan in less than a month, so I might have to wait a bit. The next issue will release next month, and the fourth, a month after that. I am seriously considering framing these and hanging them up at our new place, if hubby will let me. It'll look great in my reading corner!

Here is the first cover again. Dark Swan Comic #1

Cover Flats and Comic books

I ordered the Storm Born comic about a month ago from University Book Store, and it arrived today! Along with two cover flats from Richelle Mead's Georgina Kincaid series. All three were signed. My husband thinks I am a dork because I have been to two of her signings and have every book she has out with several of them signed. The Succubus Revealed cover is a blessing because a year ago I bought my Nook, and I have since been buying all ebooks instead of physical copies. But I had 5 of 6 books from the Kincaid series and was going to buy a physical copy anyways so I would have the complete set. I did this with VA too. With the move in August, this isn't feasible if I want to be able to read her new release as soon as it becomes available. Now I at least have a cover flat for her August release which makes me feel like I have indeed completed my set of this series.

This is me at her signing May 2010 at University Book Store.
I don't have a picture of her December 2010 signing tho.

In other news, you can "Immortalize" yourself on True Blood's facebook page. It's to promote the 4th season of True Blood, which airs on HBO June 26th. I'm so excited, so of course I jumped on the chance for the True Blood facebook app to insert myself and facebook friends into it's season four sneak peak video. Enjoy! http://itsh.bo/itctJe

Tattoos

I haven't gotten in the blogging habit yet, so here is another random post!
A week ago I did this to my leg.

The first picture is the outline, then they moved right to adding the color. They were working on my leg for 3 1/2 hours!!! It's been exactly a week, and it still hurts. Worse, I have to go back in 2 more weeks because she wants to add white highlights to the clouds and do any touching up the tattoo needs after the healing process. Unfortunately, there are indeed some touch ups...

This one I got back in November, but thought I would share it because it is the molnija mark from one of my favorite book series, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. If you haven't read it, please do. It is a great YA series. Her other 2 series, Dark Swan and Georgina Kincaid are also among my favorites and are geared towards adults. Dark Swan is actually my favorite of the three, but the molnija tattoo fit more with me because I was in school studying Atmospheric Sciences and the tattoo resembles 2 crossed lightning bolts.
I also have a third tattoo you can barely see the edge of in the above picture. It is a purple star. No special meaning. I just liked it and wanted a tattoo. That one I got when I was 18, which was over 3 years ago.

Back to the owl. It represents my love for the supernatural. They represent the angel of death in some cultures. In ancient Greece, they were the animal associated with the goddess Athena. In other cultures, owl feathers were used as protective talismans. They also have associations with the occult. I just love them in general. They are beautiful birds. Plus I am totally a night owl! That's when I am most awake and functional.

Hi!

Since I am moving to Japan this summer, I made this blog to display pictures and updates of our new home for friends and family to see, and blog about what I will be doing to stay occupied. This will probably amount to a lot of reading and movie watching since I am not a big out doors person and neither is my husband. We will try to see the island and cities, however. With the excitement we will be feeling when we first arrive, we should get out of the house to site-see a little more than usual. Who knows, maybe we will become outdoor people after all. Definitely look for lots of pictures around August.
